Elevator Access Control Systems
Elevator access control systems are security measures implemented to regulate and restrict access to elevators within a building or facility. These systems are designed to ensure that only authorized individuals can use specific elevators or access certain floors, enhancing security and control over elevator usage. Here are some common components and features of elevator access control systems:
- Keycards or Access Control Credentials: Authorized users are provided with keycards or access control credentials, such as RFID cards or fobs, which they use to gain access to elevators. These credentials are programmed with specific permissions, determining which floors or elevators a user can access.
- Card Readers or Biometric Devices: Elevator access control systems often employ card readers or biometric devices, such as fingerprint scanners or facial recognition systems, at elevator entrances. Users must present their credentials or undergo biometric verification to gain entry.
- Elevator Call Panels: Elevator call panels are equipped with access control features, allowing users to select their desired floor only if they have the appropriate authorization. Unauthenticated users will have limited or restricted access to certain floors.
Elevator access control systems help prevent unauthorized access, enhance building security, and control access to restricted areas within a facility. They are commonly used in office buildings, residential complexes, hospitals, hotels, and other settings where controlled access to elevators is required.
Variants:
- Biometric & RF-ID Access Control System The System allows only the authorized users to operate or call the lift . User authorization is done using Finger prints or RF-ID cards
- Biometric & RF-ID Access Control System - Unique Floor The System allows the users to operate the lift only to their designated Floors. Users authorized for one floor cannot operate the lift to other floors
- RF-ID Access Control System The System allows only the authorized users to operate or call the lift . User authorization is done using RF-ID cards
